Bruce Lee passed away 50 years ago, but his spirit lives on.

The Hong Kong Heritage Museum founded the first Bruce Lee exhibition in 2013. This is the first Bruce Lee exhibition we have in Hong Kong.

In 2021, we have another rendered version of the Bruce Lee exhibition in our museum.

we are so honored to partner with the Bruce Lee Foundation of the US to collaborate this exhibition.

The exhibition entitled “A man beyond the ordinary Bruce Lee” is another chance for us to showcase the magnificence experience, and also the stories behind Bruce Lee, and how did Bruce Lee turn into a superstar from an ordinary boy.

So we have another chance to review by in-depth research, and also bring in new exhibits from both the Bruce Lee Foundation in the US and also from the local collectors.

I would lead to highlight 2 exhibits that are must-see when you come into this exhibition.

The first one is the baby cloth of Bruce Lee which was worn by him when he was born in 1940.

As you can see, Bruce Lee was born in the US, and then he had early years in Hong Kong, before he went to the US for education in the university. And then he was back to Hong Kong for his movie industry.

This baby cloth actually now is with the Bruce Lee Foundation. It is so wonderful to see the journey of this baby cloth, and also Bruce Lee. They both go between the US and Hong Kong. And eventually this baby cloth just managed to be displaced in Hong Kong. Here is the place that was they spent most of his years in the early lives. This is a wonderful starting point of this exhibition to reveal his life from the early childhood.

And the other exhibit I would like to recommend is the screenplay of a film that was never produced, “Silent Flute”. In the 1970s when Bruce Lee tried to think of a theme making a film that merge the idea of the martial art between the East and the West, and also his concept of self control.

By bringing this concept into the movie, he produced a screenplay with his friends. And he actually went to India for the background research and also for the location filming. But the Silent Flute was actually not put into production because he then engaged in a series of kung fu movies that made him so famous.

So we're so pleased to bring in the screenplays of the Silent Flute, a movie that he was so beloved, but never been shown to the public. And we have the exhibit displayed in this exhibition.

So you can see another side of Bruce Lee being a famous artist, but also a movie Lover who love to make movies with various angles and with various inputs from martial art.

So we're so excited to introduce another version of Bruce Lee by looking back to his achievement in both martial art and also movie industry.
